4. Eligibility problems will be addressed from time of discovery. No replay of games or adjustment will be allowed for previous tournament games and standing involving the team in question.

5. Players may appear on only one (1) team roster for each tournament. Any player appearing on more than one (1) team roster will be automatically disqualified from participation in that tournament.

6. High school or college player are responsible for contacting their basketball coach or athletic director. The tournament complies with NCAA and NAIA regulations by awarding non-cash prizes.

DIVISIONS:

Teams will be divided into tournament brackets according to its player's ages, playing experience, and competition level, in accordance with the information on each team entry form. Tournament officials reserve the right to verify player entry form data. False information will be grounds for dismissal from the tournament.

PRE-GAME:

1. All games will be on the same schedule, starting at 5 minutes and 35 minutes past each hour. Every team MUST be at their designated court on the hour or half past, to allow for a five-minute warm-up.

2. Both teams will warm-up at the same time prior to the game.

3. Only those teams scheduled to play are allowed to occupy the court at the scheduled time.

4. 10" feet will be the height of all goals in every division.

5. The intermediate size ball will be used for all female games and a regulation full size ball will be used for all male games.

6. The distance will be fifteen (15) feet for all free throws.

7. The distance will be nineteen (19) feet for all 2-points.

SCORING:

1. Field goals are worth one (1) point, or two (2) points if taken from behind the "2 Point" line. All foul shots are also worth one (1) point.

2. Games are played up to 15 (win by 2 points), or the team ahead after 20 minutes wins.

GAME PLAY:

1. A coin flip before the start of the game will determine who gets the ball first. Play will always start at the top of the court.

2. The ball will change possession after a scored basket. There will be no "make it, take it" rule

3. Jump balls will go to the defense. Jump ball on a rebound will go to the team that was on defense.

4. The top, sides, and bottom of the backboard are in play.

5. The ball must be checked by an opposing player before it is put into play. The offense must pass the ball in while standing at the top of the court to begin play.

6. A ball out-of-bounds will be taken out at the top of the court.

7. The ball must be "taken back" past the two-point line on EVERY CHANGE OF POSSESSION. Violation occurs only if a basket is made by the team failing to properly "take it back", and will result in loss of point scored and possession to the other team.

8. "Taking back" means one foot behind the two-point line.

9. Stalling is considered an unsportsmanlike act and will result in a technical foul against the offending team. An unofficial 30-second shot clock is effect at all times, and may be enforced by the Court Monitor. Failure to attempt a shot and draw iron in 30 seconds after being advised by the Court Monitor will result in loss of possession.

10. Dunking is not allowed at any time, including during warm-ups. Dunking will be construed as an unsportsmanlike act and will result in a Technical foul.

SUBSTITUTIONS

Substitutions may be made after a basket or any stoppage of play "dead ball".

FOULS AND VIOLATIONS:

1. The participating players will call their own fouls. More specifically, the player that was fouled will call the foul.

2. All called fouls shall result in one free throw shot, except on successful field goals, in which case the basket counts and no free throw shot is awarded. During a free throw, opposing team players may not intentionally disrupt the shooter's unhindered throw. A change of possession will result regardless of whether the free throw shot is made or missed. After a foul shot, the ball will be placed into play from the back-court line. Incidental contact between opponents shall not result in a called foul unless such contact results in a meaningful disadvantage.

3. A technical foul will be called for unsportsmanlike acts such as taunting, baiting, or trash talk. Taunting and baiting can involve derogatory remarks or gestures that incite or insult a player. Trash talk involves a deeply personal, verbal attack directed toward any person involved in the event. In extreme cases, the player may also be suspended from play and a coach or fan removed from the court for the remainder of that game or for the rest of the tournament. The Skillz Monitor may also assess a technical foul if the Skillz Monitor determines that the team is stalling in the interest of preserving a winning margin.

4. A flagrant foul may be of a violent or aggressive nature, or an act which displays unacceptable conduct. Continual misconduct or flagrant/intentional fouling will result in immediate dismissal of the guilty player or team from that particular game and/or all remaining games at the discretion of the Tournament Officials. Fighting and/or throwing a punch will not be tolerated under ANY circumstances and will result in immediate dismissal of the entire team without refund of registration fees.

TIME-OUTS:

Each team is allowed one (1) 45 second time-out per game. The Game Clock continues to run during these timeouts.

PLAYER INJURY

A Court Monitor has the discretion to suspend play for the protection of an injured player. If a player is bleeding or has an open wound that player will be directed to leave the game and properly bandage the wound. A player with any bloodstained clothing or bandage must remove the stained or saturated material prior to re-entering the game. If it is believed that a player has lost consciousness during a game, or is severely injured, we may require a written note from a medical doctor who has examined the player subsequent to the game injury and specifically authorizes that player to continue participation in the tournament.

QUESTIONS OR COMPLAINTS:

1. The team captain is the sole spokesperson for his/her team.

2. Any questions, complaints, or comments shall be taken up with the Court Monitor and then Tournament Officials if necessary.

3. The judgment decisions of the Court Monitor cannot be changed by higher authority. Only questions concerning rule interpretation or eligibility are grounds for an appeal.

4. Once play resumes after a disagreement or appeal, the decision is considered to be final. No further appeals will be allowed on that incident.
